CrossFit Teens 12-16

Depending on ability, a child may remain in the kids’ program for an extra few terms before advancing to the teen program.

The Teen program is a strength and conditioning program at its core. We utilise more complex olympic lifting movements and start lifting heavier weights. We move into some more advanced gymnastic movements that emphasis core to extremity progression, along with body weight movements, speed and agility drills, rowing and recovery techniques.

While the weights Teens lift get heavier, our first priority is the safety of our athletes. We always teach “perfect practice makes perfect” and a Teen is not  able to start increasing the weight of any lifts during classes until they are demonstrating correct technique, even under fatigue.
